Footers and Foundations
The base of any great home starts with properly poured footers and foundations. Footers are essential to the process and ensure weight is appropriately distributed throughout the home where windows, doors or columns connect with the foundation. While the foundation provides your walls, roof, and the rest of the home a solid base to rest on for the home's lifetime. With our foundation team, you can rest assured that your footers and foundations will settle and harden to spec every time.
Slabs
Once the footers and foundation are in place, we start the slab pour. The slab is a six-to-eight-inch concrete pad that the house sits upon. Generally, the site will have gravel or sand below the slab to help even the ground and provide drainage from the home. Our slab pours are designed to eliminate the risk of cracking and will settle over time to create a sturdy base to build your house.
Reinforced Masonry & Block
Once the foundation and slabs are poured, it is time to start the reinforced masonry and block process. This process will support any masonry openings, such as windows or doors, and will include steel rods or horizontal bracing that will enhance the overall strength of the building.
Tie Beams
Next comes the tie beams. Tie beams tie together two footings to help prevent the foundation or columns from settling incorrectly. These tie beams are essential as they will prevent the foundation from settling together, which could, in turn, lead to sagging during the hardening process. Our tie beam process makes sure that each footing can settle independently, creating a stronger overall home.
Roof Framing
The final step for our team is roof framing. Our roof framing process will make sure that all roof trusses are lifted and installed to meet Florida building codes and will be to spec for whatever roofing material you choose to install. Once the trusses are in place, our team will lay down the wood sheath to complete the sub-roof. With the wood sheath down, your roofing company can get to work and start laying the roof at their leisure.
